Tuesday, Feb. 27th, Beyond Plastics Lobbying Day in Albany, Join fellow IMV CCWG members for another great Albany lobbying day.  Beyond Plastics is hosting a lobbying day on February 27 Advocacy Day in Albany for the Packing Reduction Act and Bigger Better Bottle Bill. Lobbying now matters because it is much easier to get bills passed before the budget. Beyond Plastics is making appointments with every legislator in the majority, which will include Assemblymember Buttenschon. Deadline to RSVP is Wed, Feb. 21. Wednesday, Feb. 22nd, 11:45 am- 1 pm, Utica Lobby Day: Citizen Action Justice Agenda for 2023, Utica State Office Building, 207 Genesee Street, Utica.  Join Citizen Action of New York in calling on our New York State elected to push for Our Justice Agenda for the 2023 NY Legislative Session! Join us at a LOCAL press event on February 22nd at 12PM followed by in-district lobby visits with our Senators and Assemblymembers to urge them to push our budget and legislative agenda forward to secure real wins that impact our neighbors and communities.  We know our fights for housing, education, and so many other important issues are both local and statewide fights. We know that issues impacting our communities know no border and we want to remind our decision-makers that our fights in Albany impact every one of their constituents back home. It will be a powerful day as all seven regions of Citizen Action of New York across the state have simultaneous press conferences that serve as a rallying cry for big wins in 2023.

Monday, Feb 13th, 10 am-3:30 pm, Tax the Rich Rally and Lobby Day, NYS Capitol, State St. and, Washington Ave, Albany, NY 12224, RSVP here.  Join the Invest in Our NY campaign for a rally and lobby day in Albany to tax the rich to pay for the Climate and Community Protection Fund, Build Public Renewables Act, universal childcare and education, tenant protections, public housing, public transit, and more! (See the full package here). The rich use their political power to keep quality housing, healthcare, education, transportation, and more out of our hands. They pay our politicians to side with them over the rest of us. The thing is they know that when we fight back, we win. On February 13th we're headed to Albany to pay those politicians a visit to demand what they owe us, the freedom to live the lives we deserve!
