Theodore’s Restaurant, 3231 Seneca Turnpike, Canastota.  You and your family and friends are invited to strategize and socialize as we gather as a community to develop ways to counter the disastrous Trump-Musk administration.  Enjoy live music, dancers from the Francis Academy of Irish Dance, and good craic (the Irish kind) at Theodore's Restaurant in Canastota. There's going to be something for everyone on this call. The last time there was a special election in NY21, a Democrat won and held the seat for 5 years. Let's do this! Monday, Jan. 20th, Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday.  We urge everyone to volunteer in their community and/or attend a local observance of the MLKJ holiday.  The annual NAACP Rome Chapter Breakfast ($20) and Church Service is at 7:30 am at Zion Episcopal Church, 140 W. Liberty Street, Rome.  The annual Frontiers Luncheon is 12-2pm at Hart's Hill Inn (advance purchase only), and the annual Dr. King Tribute will be held at Hope Chapel Zion AME Zion Church, 751South Street, Utica, N. Y. The Tribute March will kick off in front of the church at 6:30 p.m. The program will begin in the church at 7:00 p.m.

Mohawk Valley People’s March in Utica

IMV is working with a broad local coalition to plan this event. We all march for different reasons, but we march for the same cause: to defend our rights and our future from the greedy billionaires about to take the reigns of government.  We are the 99% and this economy and the country belong to us not the greedy billionaires.  We all deserve affordable housing and health care, safe communities, quality education, Social Security, and the ability to plan our families when and how we want.
