Honk for Harris & Our Democratic Candidates Rally
Friday, Oct. 25, 4-5 pm
Clinton Village Green
This event is intended to show motorists and commuters enthusiasm for Kamala Harris, John Mannion, James Meyers, Adrienne Martini, and other Democratic candidates. Bring your candidate signs, signs about voting YES on Prop 1, and signs about VOTING!
Donate Candy for Harvest on the Hill
We need one last infusion of candy for our IMV Kids Vote Table at Harvest Hill. Bring it to 19 Proctor Ave, Clinton and leave your donation in the box. We need at least 1000 pieces and so far have just about 250--HELP! Or bring it to the rally and someone will get it to Sarah Reeske.
And Tomorrow....for Our IMV Kids Vote Table
Utica's Harvest on the Hill is on Saturday, Oct. 26th. (We'll be at James & Brinckerhoff)
We look forward to hosting our "Kids Vote" Table at the event on James Street in Cornhill once again. This is a very important voter outreach event for us. We give out candy, help kids vote for their favorite candy and also talk to their family members about voting or registering to vote.
Here's the sign up sheet. Whether you can help set up, volunteer for a couple hours to hand out candy, help kiddos vote, or talk to parents about the Democratic slate card, This event is so fun! We even give "I voted" stickers to the kiddos after they cast their ballots!
Set up is 10-11 am and then there is a parade around 11 or 11:30 am. Official tabling event is scheduled 12-5 pm. If you can stop by with some candy while you're out and about, we appreciate it! Our table will be at the corner of James Street and Brinkerhoff Ave. Thanks to everyone who has helped get the ballots and supplies ready, donated candy, and already signed up to volunteer.

What to Know about Voting: The WFP Line
Most Republicans running for office in NYS will be on two ballot lines: Republican and Conservative. Being on two ballot lines is also important for Democrats because:
1) their name will appear the same number of times as their opponent (twice) and
2) it gives voters a way to choose the candidate they want even if they are not comfortable for any reason voting on the Dem line.
Some Democratic candidates can benefit from obtaining the Working Family Party line. It's easier, less expensive, and less intensive than getting an independent line through candidate petitioning. But that means that the Working Family Party needs to continue to meet the threshold of voters to remain a registered party in New York.
How can you help? When you vote this year, vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz on the Working Families Party line. Vote for all the other Democratic candidates on the Democratic line. It's that simple.
Early Voting Locations and Schedule
Vote Early. That way you can focus on maximum volunteering and direct voter contact on Election Day. Take friends and family to the polls early. No lines, and you can vote on the weekends when work and family schedules may be lighter.

Want Support for Knocking 10 Democratic Doors in Your Neighborhood?
We're less than two weeks away from the election, and every moment counts! Right now, every single vote matters, and research shows that the most effective way to get out the vote is by knocking on doors using our Neighbor2Neighbor (N2N) tool. If you haven’t had a chance to try it yet, this is the perfect time to start.
We get it—canvassing can feel intimidating at first. But that’s why we’re here! Our Neighbor2Neighbor orientations will give you all the info, support, and tips you need to knock on doors, have meaningful conversations with your neighbors, and make a real impact.
Start by joining one of these Neighbor2Neighbor Orientation Dates online:

It's Time to Vote...and Convince Others to Do the Same
That's what GOTV (Get Out the Vote) is all about.
1. Are you on social media? Then check out out accounts below, see the videos and messages we post, and then share on your own page.
2. Commit to phone banking and/or canvassing during Early Voting. There are opportunities in this email, in the calendar below, or go to https://indivisible.org/ if you want to join an event online to elect Kamala Harris and Democrats around the country.
3. Join us today for a rally in Clinton or tomorrow for Harvest on the Hill. Or go to Dem HQ in Utica (238 Genesee Street) and get free candidate signs while you sign up to knock doors or drive voters to the polls.
We have amazing candidates on the ballot: John Mannion (NY22) and Paula Collins (NY21). James Meyers (53rd State Senate), Marianne Buttenschon (119th Assembly) and Adrienne Martini (122nd Assembly).
What happens at the top of the ticket (President/VP) is not something that we in New York can do much about. But we have an outsized influence on one of the most competitive congressional races in the country --helping John Mannion defeat Brandon Williams in NY22.And we need to ensure that we keep our one Democratic legislative rep for the Mohawk Valley (Buttenschon) and add to that delegation with Meyers and Martini.
Did you know that tomorrow is "The Golden Day?'
Last year, Gov. Hochul signed into law a bill that makes the final day of voter registration overlap with the first day of early voting. The “Golden Day” legislation further improves New York State’s voting system by establishing a mechanism for allowing New Yorkers to both register at an early voting site on the first day of early voting and cast a ballot, all in one visit. Eligible people who appear on the first Saturday of early voting can use same-day voter registration procedures, without the need for additional steps.
Ask everyone you meet today if they are registered to vote--because if they aren't, all they need to do is go to an early voting site tomorrow, register, and VOTE!
Whatever you need to do to get fired up to do the work...do it now. It's GOTV time!
Knock Doors and Make Calls: "Everything you've ever wanted is one step outside your comfort zone."'
Keep Calm and Vote. (Then text everyone you know and make sure they have voted too.)
"GOTV---On Nov. 6th.... you'll wish you had started today."
Breathe....then PUSH.
P.S. Mark your calendar for our annual IMV Post-Election Fall Fiesta on Saturday, Nov. 9th 1-3 pm where we eat a lot of delicious Tex-Mex food and celebrate all our hard election work over many months. We'll see you on the other side!
