Let's Reach Every Voter: Knock Doors

Counting today there are only 5 days left and this weekend is our last chance to make a difference and support Kamala Harris, John Mannion, and our local candidates on the ballot.

The Dem HQ operation counts more than 17,000 doors knocked in Oneida County and our goal is to hit 22,000 doors by election day.

We need to knock 5000 doors between now and Tuesday evening in order to win this election.

If you haven't signed up for a shift please find a time that works for you in the links below.

Let's make sure no voter forgets to vote. And let's win it!

Utica (for turfs in the 119th Assembly District)

Clinton (for turfs in the 122nd Assembly District)

Remember that our electoral focus is in the NY22 part of Oneida County because that's the district we have the best chance to flip. And if we can flip NY22 then Dems can flip the House!  Go John Mannion!

Phonebank For Our "Local" Candidates

Phonebanking works perfectly if you need to be at home, if you have mobility issues, if you don't like door knocking, or if it's too dark to be outside.

Here are the two phonebanks you can join to get the vote out right here in NY22 and for our state senate and assembly candidates in Oneida County.  You can access these phonebanks anytime from now right through Election Day. Also listed below are links to brief bios for all our candidates for anyone who wants to be a bit more familiar before knocking on doors or making calls.

If anyone would like to phone bank and you need guidance or assistance, please contact our Dem HQ contact Dylan at dylan@nysdacc.org.

Lawn Signs

We have still more YES on Prop 1 signs stacked up and ready to go.  If you can help deliver some when you are door knocking, let us know.  Or if you can pick up a few to put in your yard and yards of friendly neighbors, please let us know:  IndivisibleMV@gmail.com.

Phonebank with Indivisible in Battlegrounds

Our local responsibility is getting voters out to flip NY22 and strengthen our Mohawk Valley Dem representation in Albany. Apart from a few congressional districts like ours, New York is not a battleground state  But if you want to help with the Presidential election, key senate races, or other tight congressional districts, there is work to be done!

Phonebank with Indivisibles from around the country to call voters in key states and districts. RSVP to one (or more!) of the upcoming phonebanks.

Rally & Canvass Launch with Hakeem Jeffries and John Mannion Tomorrow, Syracuse

State Senator John Mannion invites you to a special Get Out the Vote (GOTV) rally and canvass launch this Saturday, Nov. 2, with the next Speaker of the House Hakeem Jeffries!

Leader Jeffries will discuss the importance of electing John Mannion to Congress and the key role our district will play in a new House majority.

All supporters and volunteers are welcome to join. If you would like to attend, please RSVP by emailing scheduler@mannionforny.com. If you have any questions, please reach out to Elyse Fears at elyse@mannionforny.com.

Spread Tested Messaging on Social Media or Email/Text Friends

We've talked about it before, but it's really important to spread only tested Democratic and progressive messaging.  We're sharing the latest from Anta Shenker-Osorio and Amplify's #OurFreedomsOurFutures messaging.  All you have to do is follow the instructions carefully and you can share these awesome videos with field tested messaging on your Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, What's App or any other social media app. You may even be able to share some of the videos over your phone's texting app or emailing app.  The videos are excellent.  If you want to share them directly from IMV's Facebook page, you should find most of them posted there.

"Keep Marching"  Better than a Broadway Musical album with inspiring videos linking liberation history to this election
"Morning Routine"  Powerful message about how young lives will be affected if Trump is elected and keeps his promise to institute Stop and Frisk across the country.
"Defiance" Ad in support of Kamala Harris using classic Race Class Narrative messaging to call out book banning and immigrant bashing.
"Choose an Awesome Future"  Ad that focuses on what Democratic leaders have done and will do to address the climate crisis.
"Playbook"  Closing argument for defeating MAGA

Whenever possible in sharing these videos and the attached messages, please choose the "Vote Democrats" message instead of the Harris-Walz message, since our main goal in New York is impacting congressional and state leg elections, not the presidential election.

Share away!

Letters to the Editor Writers smashed it!

Thanks to all who wrote letters to the editor by the early deadlines in October.  Those letters have filled the pages of the Syracuse Post Standard and the Daily Sentinel, and beyond.  Our LTE writers pulled out all the stops to support our candidates, call out MAGA lawlessness and harm, and tell the truth in love. Thanks to each and every one of our LTE writers in this electoral cycle!

We Can Do This

We know you're getting deluged by emails and texts asking for your money, vote, and your volunteer time.  And you have been drowning in these pleas for weeks, if not months.

But everything those messages tell you is true. Our democracy, our freedoms and rights, our values and the rule of law are all on the line.

On Nov. 6th, none of us wants to feel like we left anything on the field.

"When we fight, we win."  That's what Kamala Harris says.  But by fight, she means pounding pavement, not faces.  Punching phone numbers, not people.  She means:

"When we WORK, we win."  And the work is doors, conversations, phones, and texts to friends--here and across the country.

So let's get out there and do it.

We'll see you on the other side--at our annual Post Election Fall Fiesta on Saturday, Nov. 9, celebrating our many months of electoral work together.  Details in the
calendar

Until then, breathe, then PUSH.
