Join members of the Kirkland Committee in a discussion of Adrienne Martini’s book, “Somebody’s Gotta Do It: Why Cursing at the News Won’t Save the Nation, but Your Name on a Local Ballot Can.” Martini, an Otsego County Legislator who lives in Oneonta, is challenging Brian Miller in the 2024 race for the 122nd Assembly seat.

Saturday, Jan. 20th, 10 am-12 pm, League of Women Voters Conversation on Misinformation & Disinformation with Luke Perry, NY Energy Zone, 35 Utica Zoo Way.  (Lower level STEM classroom).  Dr. Perry will highlight several challenges regarding political misinformation and strategies for addressing these. He will then answer questions and discuss the topic as a group. Be prepared for an interactive conversation as part of this general membership meeting.
