Gov. Hochul, Say Hello to Indivisible NYS
Keep Progressive Pressure on Gov. Hochul
It was wonderful to see so many of you in person at the IMV Fall Fiesta on Sunday. We missed those who could not be there. Five years into our progressive political activism, we are still going strong.
If you want to be together in person again, please show up at the Clinton Village Green today for the monthly Climate and Racial Justice rally, 4-5 pm, and bring your climate signs in solidarity with the activists in Glasgow.
Our focus this week is Gov. Hochul, with climate as a top priority. We have a small delegation heading to Albany on Saturday with NY Renews to press the state legislature and the Governor to implement the CLCPA and pass the CCIA.
To strengthen that message, please call Governor Hochul now: 518-474-8390
Ask her to commit to spending at least $10 billion per year to combat climate change, invest in frontline communities and create good, green jobs. It is also important that the CLCPA commitments are not replaced with false solutions like waste-to-energy, biofuels, biomass, or so-called “renewable natural gas” and “green hydrogen.”
Then, make sure you are signed up and show up for our first Indivisible statewide meeting with Gov. Hochul, Monday, November 15th at 8pm. Let's work together to make this a rewarding experience for everyone! This will be a popular event, so be sure to register now! Please use this Zoom registration link to RSVP.
You can also contribute to this e-card for Gov. Hochul to let her know what you are excited to work with her on. Gov. Cuomo would never have met with NYS Indivisibles, so this is a big opportunity for us. Let's show her our progressive people power on Monday.
NY22 News
You may have heard that Josh Riley from Broome County announced his upstate NY bid for Congress this week. Josh was an early supporter of IMV back in 2017, and he graciously stepped aside to clear the way for Anthony to make a strong run for the seat in 2018. He's back, and he's not waiting until the CD lines are finalized to get his campaign off the ground--that would be too late. We're excited to see how his campaign develops. Check out his website and video and see what you think.
At the same time we are seeing some candidates announce, we are also trying to figure out how to build the "flip the district" network that we had back in 2017 & 2018. It's a little tougher at the moment because the lines are not drawn, but it doesn't mean we can't start working.
We hope that everyone will pick a date to join Dylan Black (the new Jon Lipe) for a NY22/24 Strategy Meeting on Zoom.
Dylan, the new DCCC NY22 & NY24 Organizer, will lay out his plan to organize us to victory as well as take feedback on the factors driving both success and failure in past campaigns. If you've ever wanted to be at the ground floor of a campaign effort, helping to shape the future of a race before it even starts, now is the time. It's just one year from the election that will determine whether we have a MoC who lives on Fox News and won't listen to us at all, or one who is our partner in building a better upstate New York and a more just and democratic America.

Thanks to everyone who contributed money and stamps for local GOTV efforts, and all those who gave through our ActBlue account during the Indivisible match period. We just received our $500 match. That's money that we can use to sustain our group through food (Fall Fiesta) and renting space so we can meet like we did last Sunday.
Today, please make your call to Gov. Hochul about the CLCPA and the CCIA. Then please try to attend not only the Zoom with Kathy Hochul, but the meeting with Dylan Black, NY22/24 organizer.
Last but not least, please keep in mind that we still have some local races undecided. Absentee ballots will be counted on Monday, Nov. 15th, and possibly Tuesday as well. We still have our fingers crossed for Caroline Reale, Oneida County Leg, and a couple other Dem candidates for the legislature. Go, Caroline!
