Doors to Debate Action Message from Sarah Reeske
Two months from today will be Election Day Eve! We are taking advantage of every moment to let New Yorkers know how impactful their vote can be to elect exciting, joyful candidates and pass Prop 1, the NY Equal Rights Amendment.
Between now and the first debate between presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump on September 10th, Indivisible is encouraging us to talk to voters as part of our Doors2Debate Weekend of Action Sept 6-10th.
Last week Indivisibles across the country signed up for 15,000+ doors through our Neighbor2Neighbor tool to talk to 10 friendly neighbors about voting! New York has the highest N2N goals of any state because of our flippable congressional districts and Prop 1, which will protect our freedoms including abortion and LGBTQ rights. We're 25% to goal for NY, so you and your friends signing up for just one list this weekend is how we each take bite size action for collective impact.
Sign up for your N2N list here
Debate Night Zoom with Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries
Tuesday, September 10th is the big debate, and one hour before at 8pm ET, join Indivisible for a celebratory call featuring future Speaker of the House, Hakeem Jeffries. After a week of action focused on contacting voters at their doors, gather with other Indivisibles across the country on Zoom to celebrate our work and prepare for the first debate between Vice President Harris and Donald Trump. We'll hear about the work we need to do to win this election, including the White House and key congressional races across the country to secure a new Democratic trifecta this year. Register Here
Thank you for all you're doing, and I hope you will talk to voters this weekend using N2N and join our national call with New York's very own Leader Jeffries on September 10th! And remember that if you are watching the debate, you can help amplify VP Harris' success on the debate stage by using social media to post your positive impressions and spread/repost reinforcing messages on your social media accounts, whether Thread, X, Facebook or other accounts.

IMV's Sweet Social Canvass Launch on Sept. 22:
Canvassers Get a Harris Lawn Sign!
Join Indivisible Mohawk Valley at our September monthly meeting that will be at Cafe Florentine. This will be the best canvass launch ever because everyone who canvasses will get a free dessert, so grab a canvassing buddy and come join us.
First time canvassers are welcome! We'll pair you up with an experienced one and teach you how to talk to voters about supporting Harris/Walz and all Democrats on the ballot. We'll be talking to friendly voters.
Come as early as 1:30 to have your choice of desserts. At 2 pm we'll begin our agenda. We'll socialize and do a brief overview of what IMV members have been doing, celebrate everyone's hard work & published LTEs, preview our upcoming actions, thank everyone and then get to canvassing. We'll do a short training for first time canvassers. We'll be knocking on doors in the Whitestown/New Hartford/NY Mills area. Canvassers get a Kamala Harris lawn sign!
If you want to come to pick up a bundle of handouts to do Neighbor2Neighbor, we'll have them available, too. Sign up for N2N here!

Canvassing Update: Knocking doors in Rome and Everywhere!
Canvassing organized from the Dem HQ in Oneida County has been happening in Utica, Whitesboro, and most recently, New Hartford. The Kirkland Town Demos have accomplished turfs assigned to them as well. But all that canvassing was happening within NY22. It's now time to connect with voters who live in the part of Oneida County in the 21st Congressional district--focusing on Rome, where James Meyers and Marianne Buttenschon are on the ballot with Paula Collins. Here's the update from Dylan DePaul at HQ:
Knock doors in Rome Thursdays (5 pm meet up MVCC Rome campus parking lot):
https://www.mobilize.us/nysdems/event/682288/
Other canvasses each week:
Knock Doors in New Hartford Wednesdays (5pm meet up at NH Library):
https://www.mobilize.us/nysdems/event/668519/
Knock Doors in Utica Weekends: (238 Genesee Street)
https://www.mobilize.us/nysdems/event/642780/
Knock Doors in Utica Weekdays (238 Genesee St. --Tuesdays there's pizza at 5pm before the canvass!):
https://www.mobilize.us/nysdems/event/653442/
Knock doors in Whitesboro Sundays (meet up at noon at 76 Main St, Dunham Library)
https://www.mobilize.us/nysdems/event/653427/
If anybody wants to canvass in any other town in Oneida County, please email dylan@nydems.org and we can prep you a turf anywhere throughout the county.
There is no direct voter contact like the direct voter contact face to face at doors. Conversations make the difference. If you're new, there will be brief training, and you can pair up (or bring a friend) if you want to go out with a canvassing partner.
