Saturday, Jan. 15th, 11:00-11:30 am, Don’t Let the Dream Die: Call to Action to Save Democracy. Join IMV members as we come together for a pop-up virtual rally to honor the dreams and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr together. We'll make calls to Senators Gillibrand and Schumer's offices with a positive message about protecting voting rights by any means necessary. For those on Twitter, we'll make time to tweet our support. Make a sign on a 8.5x11" piece of paper about saving democracy for our group photo. We'll share an update on changing the filibuster rule and what's predicted to happen on Monday with the votes. As we are on the cusp of passing voting rights legislation, let's safely come together and celebrate all the work that has been done by those who have come before us and our part in this fight for a democracy for all of us.
