People Over Plastic Advocacy Day in Albany
Monday, February 9th, People Over Plastic Advocacy Day in Albany! Help cut toxic plastic packaging in NY by joining fellow IMV members at this lobby day in Albany to advocate for the legislature passing the Packing Reduction and Recycling Infrastructure Act. The bill has been passed two years in a row by the Senate and has the votes in the Assembly but needs a push to get it onto the floor. Join us in making that push! Rally to Resist ICE Fascism at the Batavia Detention Center
Saturday, Dec. 20th, 1-3 pm. Rally to Resist ICE Fascism at the Batavia Detention Center (Sharing from CNY Solidarity). This rally is hosted by Bill Schubert of PeoplesActionRochester. He has rallied at this Federal detention center before with no issues. The facility’s security personnel have been friendly and the 70 or so ralliers have been peaceful and well behaved. This is a peaceful demonstration, and involves travel outside the Mohawk Valley. However, a number of our local neighbors who have been taken by ICE are at the federal detention facility in Batavia.
