This Win is Within the Margin of EFFORT

We're Within the "Margin of EFFORT"

Lots of people who don't normally talk politics were doing so in the past few days, as their excitement grew following Kamala Harris' excellent debate performance (and the other's guy's disastrous one). It's always good to have voters excited, energized, and enthusiastic about the Democratic ticket!

However, our job is to remind friends and neighbors in New York that since we don't live in a presidential battleground state, we need to focus on our congressional and state elections.

  • NY22 is one of the most competitive congressional races in the country. We can take back the district --and the House! --but only if we do the work to defeat Brandon Williams and elect John Mannion.

  • We're also trying to re-elect Marianne Buttenschon (the only Democrat currently representing the Mohawk Valley in the state legislature!) and

  • Elect James Meyers (vs Joe Griffo) and Adrienne Martini (vs Brian Miller)

  • We have voters in NY21 (Rome, Herkimer County, and points north) who need some love and need to hear about Paula Collins so they know that someone is standing up to Elise Stefanik on the ballot.

We're asking for your help between now and Election Day.   Polls have a lot to say about the margins, and most of them show candidates closer than "the margin of error."  But polls don't influence voters to vote.  You can.  That's why we matter.  We do the direct voter contact,  We do the work.  We put election wins within the "margin of effort."

There are plenty of opportunities listed below--something for everyone!  Please don't sit on the sidelines.  Make sure that no matter what happens on Nov. 5th, you are sure (in the words of Tim Walz) "leave it all on the field."

Little Falls Meet & Greet with Paula Collins + Harris Lawn Signs

At 2 pm we'll begin our agenda. We'll socialize and do a brief overview of what IMV members have been doing, celebrate everyone's hard work & published LTEs, preview our upcoming actions, thank everyone and then get to canvassing. We'll do a short training for first time canvassers. We'll be knocking on doors in the Whitestown/New Hartford/NY Mills area.

Letters to the Editor

Kudos to Sarah Reeske whose LTE warning voters about Brandon Williams was published this week in the Daily Sentinel. Since the newspapers only publish a submission from an individual once every month, each of us only has a couple of opportunities to be heard--and influence voters-- between now and Nov. 5th. Keep writing LTE's! Let your neighbors know what's at stake in this election, or why our Democratic candidates deserve their support.
