Gov. Delgado, for Merima and for all the Democrats on the ballot. Thank you!
Herkimer County Neighbor to Neighbor - Get Out the Vote
We are asking Herkimer County folks to spend just a little bit of time visiting 12 of your neighbors any time from Tuesday, Nov. 1st- Monday, Nov. 7th. The message is simple: remind folks to get out and vote. Tell them where your polling place is if they don't know. Hours of voting on Election Day are 6:00 am until 9:00 pm. If they voted early, THANK THEM!
You can choose to knock on doors to talk to them, leave some literature(we have lots of that*), or just visit the folks that you know well, or even call people on the phone. If we all do this, we can get out the votes!! (The only rule about dropping literature is don’t put it IN a mailbox. You can put it under or behind a mailbox, just not IN there. You can tuck it into the door or leave it on a chair on the porch. Whatever works. We also do have SOME door hangers for Matt Castelli ). We ask you to set a goal to reach 12 neighbors, in whatever way works for you.
If it would be vital to you to have a list of voters who are Democrats and live near you, let us know. Feel free, however, to take a more casual approach. And feel free to talk to moderate Republicans and unaffiliated voters as well!! We are hearing that many of them are going to vote for Castelli! Don’t forget to mention that he is also on the ‘Moderate Party’ line! No need to ‘vote Dem’ to vote for him! And for the State Supreme Court, remind them that there are 4 seats open! So they can vote for someone else AND Judge David Murad.
*To obtain literature, there will be a pick-up box at 15 W. Center Street, Mohawk and 532 E Gansevoort St, Little Falls ( go through back gate on Jackson St and it will be on the back enclosed porch). Email us atherkdems@gmail.com if a list of Dems would be important to you.

Black Women's Blueprint Call to Action
On Wednesday, November 2nd at 6:00 pm, Black Women's Blueprint (BWB) will be going in front of the Town Planning Board of Ava, NY to discuss the Restore Forward initiative, a proposed retreat center on 300 acres, at the former radar site of Griffiss Airbase. They will discuss proposed developments at the center with their team of engineers.
BWB writes: "In May 2021, during the first presentation to Ava's Town Planning Board, BWB received a large crowd of raucous opposing community members that shouted down and interrupted all possible presentations between BWB and the board along with racist threats, phone calls, and on social media platforms.
Since May 2021 the town of Ava has done everything in its power to slow walk Black Women's Blueprint development of land. Denying BWB legitimate permit applications, allowing community members to block access to the property and various intimidation and threats. We know these actions do not reflect the values of all the citizens of the Mohawk Valley and we are in dire need for a show of support at this future meeting as the decisions made by the board could drastically stifle the future of this initiative in Ava."
Call to action: Attend the meeting. Your presence will be a sign of allyship. BWB will provide t-shirts for allies to wear in a peaceful show of support.
Restore Forward’s mission is to restore peace and build inclusion.
When: Wednesday, November 2nd, 2022
Time: 6:00 pm
Where: Camp Kingsley, 5328 Tuffy Road, Ava, NY 13303 (not Ava Town Hall)
Restore Forward asks that we share this request “widely but discreetly to like-minded allies.” They add: “We really need a volume of supporters; we are outnumbered in Ava.”

Blue NY22 Crew Pre-GOTV Party
You may be feeling worn out from postcards or redistricting confusion. You might have a lot going on in your life and work right now. You might be a bit stressed or even pessimistic because of inflation or polls. if so...then it is time to get FIRED UP, READY TO GO. If it's been a while since you've watched President Obama tell that story, then plan this video a couple times. You'll already start to get fired up...
Then, join IMV for the Blue NY22 Crew Pre-GOTV party that we're hosting in Utica at Dem HQ (238 Genesee Street on Friday, Nov. 4, 5-7 pm. Traditionally that is the one period of time in which hardcore volunteers and campaign staffers stop door knocking and phone banking, so that the staff can catch up on all the data and get organized with the "Final Four" Days of GOTV lists and materials.
It is a time for camaraderie and cutting loose with lots of food, music, and dancing. And so, IMV invites you to sign up NOW for your GOTV shifts, as many as you can possibly do and then put our "Blue NY22 Crew" Pre-game party on your calendar for GOTV Eve, Friday, Nov. 4th. All our candidates and campaign staff are welcome to join us volunteers and get out the wiggles before we buckle down for the final work!
So, to sum up:
Talk to friends and neighbors and make sure they are voting blue starting Saturday, Oct. 29th.
Sign up for GOTV shifts as above.
Join IMV for our Blue NY22 Crew party to "pre-game GOTV," Nov. 4t
