Here's an inspiring update from Celeste's campaign:

"We launched our campaign last January. It was a big, happy event at Delta Hotel, with over 300 people, including kids and live music, and poetry, and an incredibly energizing optimism for Utica's future. Then we hit the ground running and gathered over one thousand petition signatures to get onto the ballot, and then ran the biggest campaign this town has ever seen and decisively won the Democratic Primary in June!

We took a deep breath after the Primary and then organized ourselves for the General Election campaign. We've been talking to people at their doors ever since, and texting them, and calling them, and making every effort to be out and about in the communities we intend to serve. Our campaign has made a big impression all across the City. People see how hard we are working and that tells them something very important: that we are committed to this City and committed to doing the work necessary to build a better future for all of us.

So, here we are now: one week out from election eve. People have been voting since Saturday, when Early Voting started. So far, lots of people have voted, and high turnout should work in our favor. We have the wind at our backs.

And that means that for this final week, we really need to lean into everything we've ever done and ever stood for: a more transparent and inclusive government and politics; neighborhoods that keep everyone safe and happy; and a commitment to making smart investments that will sustain the City for generations to come.

IMV urges everyone who can to join the Purple Posse for a GOTV Rally tomorrow, Saturday, Nov. 4th at 10 am at Oneida Square. If you can stay an grab a turf or two to do lit drops, that would be terrific. Any way that you can volunteer would be a big help. Finally, Celeste's campaign is throwing a big Election Night party, and everyone is invited! Gather when the polls close starting at 9 pm, Tuesday, Nov. 7th at the Doubletree Hotel, (102 Lafayette Street) in Utica. Many people in Utica and surrounding communities have worked hard to elect Celeste Friend as Utica's Mayor. Let's Celebrate!!!!

Former campaign staff from the 2018 Brindisi for Congress campaign are coming together Sunday, November 5th, for a phone bank in support of Celeste Friend for Mayor! Catch up with Claudia Stankiewicz, Leni Neyland, Dameian Bossarte, Alex Scheuer, and Jon Lipe at 6:00pm Sunday for a zoom call/virtual phone bank as we reach out to Utica Democrats and remind them to VOTE on Tuesday, November 7!
